What is Social Bookmarking and how can it help your Internet Network Marketing campaign efforts? 

Social Bookmarking – is a very important part of your Social Marketing strategy when you are building your network marketing and/or any other business on the Internet. In fact it’s probably one of the most important final steps that you could take to beat up the competition  when it comes to your search engine rankings, your exposure and people finding your sites.

Let’s first find out what is Social Bookmarking?

Initially Social Bookmarking sites were created for the purpose of you being able to save your favorite sites online, so if your computer were to crash you wouldn’t lose these and can always access them from any computer in the World that has Internet connection.

The other purpose of Social Bookmarking sites is to share your favourite bookmarks with other people and to see what other people are bookmarking, which in a way creates a social environment and that’s why it’s called Social Bookmarking sites and not only Bookmarking.

How search engines use Social Bookmarking to rank websites, through the process of Link Voting?

Because of the social environment in the Social Bookmarking sites and because you can share your bookmarks with others, people can also vote for the sites that are favored or shared there. If a site is really good then it could get a lot of bookmark votes or what at Digg.com is called Diggs, or at StumbleUpon.com is called Stumbles or Thumbs Up etc.

When you are at one of these Social Bookmarking sites and you see an article that has been bookmarked by just a few people and another that has been bookmarked hundreds of times then it’s obvious which article the community has liked more. It’s clear which article or website Link was Voted more favourably! It’s people rating the quality of the content. So you trust it more and you can even vote for it as well.

That’s how search engines also look at content and take the crowd’s opinion into consideration when determining the quality of certain content and so rank it accordingly in the search engines. If more people picked up one article over another, this article would most likely rank higher on the search engines as well.

Ways Your Internet Network Marketing Can Benefit from Social Bookmarking

If you are able to get on the first page of these bookmarking sites than you could get a lot of traffic, because there are people who constantly come to look for hot topics. However, this is not an easy thing to achieve, but if you could do it go for it.

Getting on the first page of these sites could be really cool, but another and better advantage is that you can use Social Bookmarking sites to submit your sites, article pages, Squidoo lenses, Hub pages and any content that you have to the search engines. It’s basically a way to tell the search engine for your website’s existence. 

If you are submitting directly to the search engines this could hurt you more than it could help you. A better way to do it is by posting a link of your site to another site so the search engines find you this way and then crawl your site. So  social bookmarking sites could be the sites you post your link at. And the advantage is that most of the social bookmarking sites have pretty high ranking. So that’s a vote for your site from a high ranking site, which is a lot better than if you had a vote from a site that has low or no ranking.

When I first learned about ranking I had contacted my SquareSpace support blog and asked them — “what’s that on my blog that says - ?/10”. My blog was then brand new. So from them I learned that the search engines give you a score, they rank you and you could rank anywhere between 0 to 10 ranking. Very few sites in the world get a ranking of 7 or 8, so getting to 2, 3,4 you are doing extremely good. Well even beginning with 1 is great progress.

Warning as a side note: It’s important that you submit only your best stuff in the Social Bookmarking places otherwise you may risk to get buried forever. Why? Well, we just spoke about Link Voting by the crowds, and as the crowds (the community) can give you thumbs up, they can also give you thumbs down. :) So be careful! Don’t submit things that you wouldn’t give thumbs up to.

One thing that helps you determine whether your content is good or not is asking yourself the question - Is my article valuable? Could anyone benefit from the information on it?

So How Can All This Help Your Internet Network Marketing

If you are building your network marketing business on the Internet through Social Marketing techniques, it’s all about exposure and people finding you in the social media sites and through the search engines so they can get to your message and what you have to say to them.

Social bookmarking are Social Media Marketing sites and by submitting your links there people in their communities find you and visit your site, and that’s traffic and exposure for you. They first come across the bookmarking site with your bookmark and then click away to visit your site.

It’s a beautiful way to create multiple listings of your site on the search engines not only with your site but with sites that talk about your site.

As many of you already know, I began blogging just less than three months ago. I haven’t really had as much time as I want to dedicate to blogging, so I basically have been doing it part time.

In this article I am going to share with you what I believe to be the biggest reason why my blog is getting good rankings on Google and it’s only going to continue improving.

First, let me quickly share with you how and why I began blogging.

I am building a network marketing business but I wasn’t making money fast enough to be able to support myself by building the way I was doing it – the “old School” way.  What I refer to “old school” way is the calling of cold leads, the three foot rule, chasing friends and family etc., something you are probably very familiar with if you are in Network Marketing.

I started looking on the Internet for alternative ways of building my business and other income sources. I read a book called “The Renegade Network Marketer ” ebook by Ann Sieg which was exactly what I was looking for.

I get a lot of questions from people about how they can get more traffic to their websites without breaking the bank. Whether you’re promoting a program, building your own email list, or wanting more traffic to your blog, advertising and marketing is obviously a huge part of the equation.

Most of the ‘methods’ I’ve tried have been a waste of time, but over the years I’ve found several very useful resources that don’t cost anything and bring me daily traffic that turns into sales.

One in particular is worth knowing about. It only takes a moment to get signed into it (at no cost) and from there you can quickly put up some ads  and start seeing results from your ads. I’ve successfully used this for a couple of years and have learned a few tricks that consistently give me great results. I’ve used this method to get hundreds of real people to visit my blog each day, and to create dozens of sales for different products. This also helps me build my email list.

More Training & How it Works

Basically, you’re able to place up to 10 advertisements that are shown to tens of thousands of people around the world (many from the United States and Canada but also in other countries). So this is a great way to advertise to North America without spending a dime.

In order for your ads to be displayed you have to earn credits. You could buy credits but there are many ways you can earn free credits. As you earn credits your ads are displayed to more people. The more credits you earn the more your ads are displayed.

The best way to earn credits without thinking about it is to set your start page up. Your ‘Start Page’ is the page that opens up first when you open your Internet Browser up. You can earn credits each time you open your Internet Browser if you set your start page to open up to display other people’s ads. It’s no hassle. I am getting free credits like this all the time.

If you click on other people’s ads you get more credits. If you put up your referral link and tell others about this ad method (such as on your blog) you get credits. At your account you can learn all the ways to get ad credits.

What to do When you First Get Your Account

When you go to TrafficSwarm.com you set up your account at the lower right side. If you’ve already done this it’s important that you activate your account by ‘surfing’ to get at least 50 credits. Then the ads you displayed will start being shown.

It’s worth it to learn how to do this. I’ll be sharing more tips and training on this going forward, including video tutorials to help you move forward. It’s worth the effort to learn this.

After you have an account you will get access to your own referral link. Pass that onto others and you’ll get more ongoing free ad credits. Put the link on your blog or share it with your contact list. You can also pass on my training (as if it were your own) to offer value to those people you refer.
