Leverage Other People's Content And Build Your Own List
Friday, March 13, 2009 at 08:19PM Hey Everyone,
I learned something really cool today, that is pretty simple and yet powerful but I just never thought of doing.
I got an e-mail from Google Alerts and then I ended up at a blog of a friend of mine. Terri Stallcop, she is a fellow Super Guide and as I was looking around her blog I found something super ingenious.
I was like “WOW how come I didn’t think about this?”
Leverage Other’s Content To Build Your Own Leads List
Terri has posted the short video clips at her blog with snippets of the long interview with Mike Klingler and Ann Sieg. You can see these around my blog as well, or you can also find many of them on my Network Marketing Smart Videos youtube channel.
But what was so ingenious about what Terri did was that at the bottom of her page after the short clips she had an opt in box encouraging people to opt in to get the Full Interview.
And here is the deal…
The Full Interview is available without needing to opt in to anyone’s e-mail box and you can find it when you click on Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler Full Interview.
However…
Terri knows that many people who end up on her blog may not know how to find this interview so she used that as an opportunity to provide value to people but at the same time build her e-mail list so she can continue providing value to these people over and over again.
So she captures the leads to her personal list and then she sends them the interview link, which is available to anyone anyways, but she has captured that lead personally.
*This is really powerful and perfect example of leveraging other people’s content while you build our own list.*
Are you getting it?
I immediately copied what she did, because I thought it was perfect way to capture leads while I am leveraging Mike and Ann’s content. You can see how I did this on my blog post — Ann Sieg Interviews Mike Klingler - Do You Value Your Time?
(I didn’t have much time to make it pretty but this is still very powerful)
I highly encourage you to look at this and start applying it with all sorts of things, not just this interview.
Google Alerts Empowers You To Be Where The Action’s Happening
Btw, you should also opt in to Google alerts and follow what’s going on in your niche. That way you can immediately jump in and leave comments wherever fits. I am talking about “highly value-based” comments. Don’t get out there be salesy and pitchy and spammy…Post only ‘highly value-based” comments.
Then you really start gaining exposure.
If you don’t know how to use Google Alerts we teach you how at Renegade Professional.
Renegade Professional is currently closed but it will re-open doors in the next couple of weeks or so. But you can get on the waiting list by creating an account at Renegade University and while there make sure you take advantage of all the free training at Step 3.

Didi,
You never know when and where you will find a simple lesson that can do so much. Like ju jit zu. Smallest touch in the correct spot to do the most damage.
I think you found one of your pressure points. Let us know how it works if you are getting opt ins for full interview?
